Connecting Danang tourism to the Middle East market 2025

On the afternoon of May 20, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with Emirates Airlines to organize an online seminar “Introducing Da Nang Tourism to the Middle East Market 2025”. The seminar attracted more than 100 representatives from travel companies and travel agents of the Middle East market and countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

At the conference, the tourism industry introduced an overview of Da Nang tourism , including infrastructure, high-quality products and services, and the city's outstanding strengths in the fields of resort tourism and MICE tourism . In particular, it emphasized that the locality and businesses are ready to serve Middle Eastern tourists through Halal-standard products, luxury accommodation systems and personalized experiences according to market needs.

To prepare for serving the Middle Eastern market, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has implemented many activities: organizing training programs, updating information on serving Middle Eastern guests; coordinating the organization of seminars on applying Halal standards at dining and accommodation establishments with the participation of more than 200 service businesses; developing publications on cultural guidelines and specialized service procedures for Muslim guests.

Da Nang is currently the third city in Vietnam, after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, to be put into operation by Emirates Airlines from June 2 with a frequency of 4 flights/week. In the context of the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Vietnam and the UAE, opening a flight route to Da Nang is considered a strategic step to attract high-end customers from the Middle East and Europe, contributing to enhancing the tourism position of Central Vietnam on the international tourism map.
