For the first time, the Thinking Assessment exam was held in Quang Ninh.

On the morning of June 10, nearly 100 high school students from the province and some neighboring provinces participated in the Thinking Assessment Test held at Ha Long University. This test was organized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology. This was also the first Thinking Assessment Test held in Quang Ninh.

Unlike previous years, this year's Thinking Assessment exam of Hanoi University of Science and Technology was conducted in the form of online multiple-choice tests on computers instead of the traditional exam format (paper test, multiple-choice test + essay). The exam structure was also adjusted to be concise (150 minutes), with 3 test sections: Mathematical thinking (60 minutes), reading comprehension (30 minutes) and scientific thinking/problem solving (60 minutes).

The test is designed according to modern testing theory, covering knowledge in many subjects, closely following the high school program but still ensuring classification and evaluation of candidates. The test questions are designed according to a thinking scale with 3 levels: Reproducible thinking, deductive thinking, and higher-order thinking. The method of answering questions is: Choose the correct option; choose the right or wrong answer; fill in the answer; drag/drop the answer. During the test, no candidate will do the test with the same order and content of questions.

In this Thinking Assessment Exam, the system of equipment and infrastructure serving the exam of Ha Long University was evaluated as good. Specifically: Ensuring computer configuration, ensuring Internet connection, exam software and exam monitoring, security screening equipment, backup computers. Invigilators use exam monitoring software throughout the time candidates log into the exam software and take the exam.

This Thinking Assessment Test of Hanoi University of Science and Technology was held at Ha Long University, and was conducted in the form of multiple-choice tests, online on computers.

Another new feature of the Thinking Assessment exam organized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology this year is that candidates are granted a certificate of exam results valid for 2 years to apply for admission to 32 highereducation institutions nationwide.

Thinking Assessment or Competency Assessment is a form of admission to many large, prestigious universities nationwide. In recent years, Quang Ninh has had many students participating in Ability Assessment exams, Big and Small Thinking Assessment exams... And students often have to go to Hanoi or Hai Phong to participate in these exams.

This year, by organizing the Thinking Assessment exam at Ha Long University, candidates in Quang Ninh will reduce travel and accommodation costs and have more favorable conditions to focus on doing well on the exam.

It is known that after the Thinking Assessment exam on June 10, Ha Long University will continue to hold the next Thinking Assessment exams, scheduled for June 17 and July 8. Ha Long University will also continue to coordinate with major universities nationwide to open Thinking Assessment exams, Capacity Assessment exams... creating maximum opportunities for candidates in the area to test their abilities in important exams.
