The Culture - Tourism Week of Hoa Binh province in 2024 took place from November 15 to 23 with the theme "The beauty of culture and tourism in Hoa Binh province" and was organized systematically and on a large scale with many meaningful events bringing interesting, impressive and sympathetic experiences to people and tourists. The cultural values of Muong and ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province were spread and promoted.

Scientific and thoughtful preparation and beautiful weather have brought unexpected success to the series of cultural and tourism events in Hoa Binh province, attracting tens of thousands of tourists and locals to learn and explore. Ms. Bui Thi On in Muong Bi - Tan Lac was present at most of the week's programs. She shared: The weather is winter but not cold yet, on the full moon day, with a bright moon, people flocked to Hoa Binh Square to watch, enjoy and experience the festival atmosphere. I am proud of my nation's history and culture and the "Hoa Binh Culture" that has existed for tens of thousands of years; recognized by the State as a special national monument of Hang Xom Trai, Tan Lap commune and Mai Da Lang Vanh, Yen Phu commune, Lac Son district. Proud of the landmarks, locations, and scenic spots of the Hoa Binh land that are constantly changing, associated with cultural identity... Fairy tales, legends, folk songs, festivals, rituals, and customs are recreated and shine on the main stage of Hoa Binh Square.
Nguyen Thuong Hai, a student from Hoa Binh City, participated in the ethnic costume performance and said: Wearing the Muong ethnic costume, I am very proud because it is not only aesthetic, but also contains cultural values, honoring the beauty of traditional ethnic costumes. Many of my friends and relatives are also proud to wear the costumes of the Muong, Tay, Thai, Dao, Mong ethnic groups not only in cultural events, but also in local holidays, festivals, or in daily life.
Hoa Binh is a land with a long-standing historical and cultural tradition, imbued with the identity of ethnic groups, the cradle of the famous "Hoa Binh Culture", with more than 100 ranked relics and many folk festivals. The province has unique national intangible cultural heritages such as: Mo Muong, Muong gong art, folk knowledge of bamboo calendar of the Muong ethnic group and Keng Loong social and religious customs of the Thai people in Mai Chau. Hoa Binh is endowed by nature with many majestic landscapes, diverse nature reserves such as: Ngoc Son - Ngo Luong, Thuong Tien, Pu Canh, Hang Kia - Pa Co; many attractive tourist destinations such as: Dragon Head Mountain Cave Complex (Cao Phong), Tien Pagoda Historical and Cultural Relic Complex (Lac Thuy), Ngoi Hoa Cave and Nam Son Cave (Tan Lac) ...; there is a hot mineral water source in Kim Boi suitable for developing eco-tourism, medical resorts; Mai Chau tourist area with beautiful natural landscapes, unique ethnic cultural identity is the destination of many domestic and international tourists. In particular, Hoa Binh lake with its charming landscape, gradually strives to complete the conditions of the National Tourist Area by 2025... Those strengths are focused on by the province to arouse and promote strongly, step by step building a product development strategy, building the tourism brand of Hoa Binh province associated with the typical image, carrying the cultural identity of ethnic groups, especially the Muong ethnic group, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of the people of all ethnic groups in the province.
The Culture and Tourism Week includes many activities including: Fishing praying ceremony, releasing flower lanterns on the Da River; art photo exhibition with the theme "The beauty of culture and tourism of Hoa Binh province"; receiving the certificate of ranking as a special national monument of Hang Xom Trai, Mai Da Lang Vanh; visiting tourist attractions on Hoa Binh Lake tourist area; festival of performing costumes of ethnic groups of Hoa Binh province; tour guide contest; Can wine festival... Through organizing activities to introduce and promote the potential, strengths, beautiful natural landscapes, cultural identities of ethnic groups; typical and attractive tourist destinations of the locality. The Culture and Tourism Week of the province is also an opportunity to widely propagate among officials and people about the "Hoa Binh Culture" - a brilliant culture that has existed for about 30,000 years to 3,500 years ago - which is proof that Vietnam is one of the cradles of mankind.
Attending the opening ceremony of the Culture and Tourism Week of Hoa Binh province, comrade Le Thanh Long, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Hoa Binh province has been very determined in managing, protecting, exploiting and promoting the value of traditional cultural heritage of ethnic groups, especially relics belonging to the "Hoa Binh Culture" associated with sustainable tourism development, gradually turning Hoa Binh into one of the attractive destinations for domestic and foreign tourists. A clear proof is that the archaeological relics of Hang Xom Trai and Mai Da Lang Vanh were ranked as special national relics. This is an honor, pride, and at the same time the responsibility of all of us, especially the levels, sectors and people of all ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province in preserving and promoting the special value of this archaeological relic...
