Lang Son has a work that won the C prize of the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award.

– On the evening of February 1, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, Hanoi, on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024), the Central Organizing Committee presided over and coordinated with Nhan Dan Newspaper, Communist Magazine, Vietnam Television, and the Vietnam Journalists Association to organize the announcement and award ceremony of the 8th National Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) in 2023. Among the award-winning works, Lang Son province has 1 C prize.

Attending the award ceremony on behalf of the province were comrade Nguyen Quoc Doan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, and the Provincial Radio and Television Station.

After 8 seasons, the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award has increasingly demonstrated its prestige, attracting a large number of authors and groups of authors to participate. At the end of the submission period for the 8th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award in 2023, the Award Standing Agency (Party Building Magazine) received a total of 2,216 works in 5 types of journalism: print, electronic, television, radio, and press photos. The final jury selected 120 works for the final round to choose for the award.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced and awarded 6 A prizes, 12 B prizes, 18 C prizes, 30 consolation prizes and 6 thematic prizes for outstanding works. Of which, Lang Son province has 1 work "The guiding torch in Lung Cut" long 3 episodes, radio genre, by authors Luong Thi Lan Anh and Hua Lam Ngoc Thu, Provincial Radio and Television Station, won the C prize. This is the second time Lang Son province has a work winning the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award (at the 7th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award, 2022, the radio work "Resolution on digital transformation - ambition or determination of Lang Son" by author Luong Thi Lan Anh, Provincial Radio and Television Station won the consolation prize).

The works participating in the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award this year in the central and local press agencies are rich in themes and genres and cover all provinces and cities in the country. Most of the works have closely followed hot issues, outstanding events, and key tasks of the political system and the country. Many works have deeply reflected the current issues of Party building and rectification. Some works have mentioned current pressing issues, with high social criticism and combativeness.

During the program, the Organizing Committee honored 5 outstanding figures in the award-winning press works; rewarded 15 collectives with outstanding achievements in organizing, promoting, and responding to the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award in 2023. The representative of the Steering Committee launched the 9th National Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) in 2024.

The work "The torch leading the way in Lung Cut" is 3 parts long, including: Part I - "Lung Cut in those days"; Part II - "Awakening Lung Cut with the resolution to open the way"; Part III - "The torch lights the way for Lung Cut to move forward". The work will be broadcast in October 2023 on the radio of the Provincial Radio and Television Station. The main content of the work is about promoting the leadership role of the Lung Cut area Party Cell (formerly Lung Cut village), Dong Mo town, Chi Lang district, typically when the Party Cell issued a resolution to open a road up the mountain. The resolution was approved by the people and they actively participated. In half a year, the village opened a road of more than 2km up the mountain for production. Thanks to this road, the area has promoted its potential and strengths with 2 specialty crops: Rau Bo Khai and Na Chi Lang. The unity between the Party's will and the people's will has created a spectacular transformation. From a particularly difficult village, Lung Cut has risen to become a model residential area...
