Leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front congratulate the Ramon Magsaysay Award winner

Previously, on August 31, 2024, in a global online event, the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation announced this year's award and Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong, currently the non-professional Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, was one of the 5 individuals and organizations receiving this year's award.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented flowers to congratulate Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong.

Accordingly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong was honored as a Vietnamese doctor who has made many contributions to research to find the truth about the devastation of Agent Orange/dioxin on human health, reproductive health of victims of Agent Orange/dioxin, and persistently pursued justice to demand fairness for the victims.

The Ramon Magsaysay Award is an annual award, established in 1957 to honor those who have “selflessly served the peoples of Asia.”

The 66th Ramon Magsaysay Awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on November 16, 2024, at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila, Philippines.
