At the meeting, the film crew representative said: “Tay Son That Ho Tuong: Ky Nam Cung Thu Ly Van Buu” is the opening part of a series of films portraying the seven famous generals of the Tay Son peasant movement. The film is expected to start filming at the end of December 2025 and be released in theaters in mid-2026.
The film crew conducted field surveys at a number of scenic spots and historical sites in Gia Lai province such as: Quang Trung Museum, Altar of Heaven, Vo Van Dung Temple, Binh Khe District Relic Site and Ham Ho Tourist Area. This is an important preparation step to ensure that the film setting is both authentic and imbued with the cultural and historical identity of the Tay Son region, contributing to spreading the value of local heritage to a wide audience at home and abroad.
After two rounds of selection in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi , Gia Lai is the location for the final casting round of this film project.
The film crew hopes to receive support from the provincial People's Committee leaders and close coordination from relevant departments and branches so that the film can be completed on schedule and achieve the best quality as expected.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich welcomed the film crew for choosing Gia Lai , the birthplace of the Tay Son movement, to start filming the film "Tay Son That Ho Tuong: Ky Nam Cung Thu Ly Van Buu".
Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich expressed her hope that the film project will contribute to bringing national history closer to the audience; at the same time, promoting the image of the land as well as the cultural and historical values of Gia Lai to the public, thereby promoting tourism and socio-economic development of the locality.
Gia Lai province commits to support and create the most favorable conditions for the film crew to implement the project; at the same time, request the crew to proactively provide information and promptly discuss difficulties and problems so that the Provincial People's Committee can consider and direct solutions./.
