According to RT , in a televised speech on June 26, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei affirmed that Iran had won the conflict with Israel and that the US intervened because it was afraid that Tehran would "crush" Tel Aviv.
"Iran's retaliatory strikes left Israel virtually defeated and crushed. The US intervened directly because it feared that Israel would collapse completely. They entered the war in an attempt to save Israel but achieved nothing," Khamenei said, challenging US claims that their airstrikes had crippled Iran's nuclear facilities.

Iran's supreme leader also referred to Iran's retaliatory attack on a US military base in Qatar, warning that Tehran could target "important US centers in the region" if provoked again.
These are the first public statements by Iran's Supreme Leader since Israel and Iran reached a ceasefire agreement on the morning of June 24, ending 12 days of fighting.
Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran on June 13, citing the need to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Iran denies possessing nuclear weapons but insists it will not renounce its right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has reported that there is no evidence that Iran is actively developing nuclear weapons. However, Tehran has announced that it will suspend all cooperation with the agency following the recent escalation.
