Lao Cai has 10 regional firefighting and rescue teams.

The Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Lao Cai Provincial Police has established and maintained 10 regional fire fighting and rescue teams. This is an important step to improve the capacity to respond and handle fire, explosion and emergency situations quickly and effectively, contributing to ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.

According to the Regulation issued by the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Provincial Police on October 14, 2025 on the assignment of firefighting and rescue tasks in the area, 10 regional teams will be in charge of firefighting and rescue in the assigned areas.

Each team is fully equipped with specialized equipment and deployed with forces appropriate to the characteristics of each area, ensuring mobility and readiness to respond promptly when an incident occurs.

The improvement of the system and the assignment of specific tasks to firefighting and rescue teams demonstrate the proactiveness of the Provincial Police in building a regular, elite, and modern firefighting and rescue force. Regional teams will strengthen coordination with local authorities, civil defense forces, grassroots and specialized firefighting and rescue teams to effectively carry out prevention work, promptly control and handle fire, explosion, natural disasters, and accidents.

The fire fighting and rescue network in the province has been expanded, helping to shorten the time to reach the scene, improve the efficiency of rescuing people and property, and contribute to building a safe and sustainable Lao Cai.
