Lao Cai speeds up progress of high-tech agricultural investment projects

Recently, thanks to promoting administrative reform as well as creating favorable conditions in terms of mechanisms and policies, Lao Cai province has attracted 6 investment projects in the field of high-tech agricultural production, with a total investment capital of over 1,378 billion VND.

The province has directed relevant agencies to coordinate with investors to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles to speed up the implementation of key agricultural projects, in order to promote crop restructuring, increase people's income and develop agriculture in a sustainable direction.

Contractors focus on human resources, vehicles, and machinery to level the ground to speed up project construction progress.

Regarding implementation progress: The project "Construction of a closed high-tech pig breeding farm" of CNC Gia Hung Livestock Investment Company Limited has been granted an environmental license by the Provincial People's Committee and issued a decision to lease land with an area of over 136,000 ^m2 . Currently, the company is focusing on constructing a number of site clearance items; the project is expected to be put into operation before December 2025.

The "CNC Pig Farming Investment" project of Quang Minh CNC Livestock Investment Joint Stock Company has completed procedures for land lease, investment deposit, forest planting fee, land fund development fee, environmental impact assessment report, site clearance with an area of over 172,000 ^m2 . The project has completed over 50% of the construction items; expected to be put into operation in the first quarter of 2025.

For the "CNC Pig Farm" Project of Thinh Phat Kim Son 1 Joint Stock Company , up to now, has completed the procedures for converting forest purposes and completed the dossier on converting land use purposes and land lease; is completing the procedures for environmental impact assessment and detailed planning for project construction.

The project "Construction of CNC pig farming facility" of Minh Anh Trading Service and Import-Export Company Limited has been adjusted by the Provincial People's Committee to be completed by the end of the fourth quarter of 2025. Currently, the company is completing legal documents on construction permits, environment and other related fields, ensuring sufficient conditions for construction on schedule.

For the project "Bao Thang Organic Cinnamon Processing Factory" of Vietnam Cinnamon Production and Export Joint Stock Company, the investor has poured concrete on the entire floor area and is assembling the main factory; expected to be completed and put into operation in December 2025.

Recently, in July 2025, the "Spice Production and Processing Factory" Project in Xuan Ai Commune of Son Ha Spices Company Limited started construction. The project has a total investment of more than 350 billion VND, on an area of nearly 48,000 m², in an area with favorable natural conditions and abundant raw materials. When put into operation, the factory will have a capacity to produce 50 tons of fresh cinnamon and star anise per day; process 5,000 tons of dry materials per year with key products such as: cinnamon flute, cinnamon pieces, ABC cinnamon and dried star anise.

The Spice Manufacturing and Processing Factory Project in Xuan Ai Commune of Son Ha Spices Company Limited is in the stage of experimental pile driving to build the factory.

After nearly 1 month of construction, the project has completed site leveling and is in the stage of experimental pile driving to build the factory. In the coming time, the Company will mobilize human resources and machinery to focus on accelerating the construction progress, striving to complete and put into operation in early 2026.

Accelerating the progress of high-tech agricultural projects in the province will contribute to the formation of large-scale concentrated production areas, applying modern technology, linked to sustainable consumption; is a strategic step in building an effective commodity agriculture, adapting to climate change. When the projects come into operation, they will create many job opportunities for local people.
