Putting union members at the center

- With union members at the center of all activities, trade unions at all levels in the province have implemented many flexible and practical models and approaches. From caring for their lives and protecting their rights to improving their spiritual well-being, trade union activities are increasingly becoming more in-depth, creating motivation for union members to work with peace of mind and remain committed to their units in the long term.

"Strengthening connections among union members"

The Trade Union of the Xuan Cuong Office Block currently has 89 members. As the group leader, I always work with my colleagues to promptly understand the thoughts and needs of each member in order to provide appropriate support. Most of the group's activities begin with very personal matters such as: visiting and encouraging members when they are sick, bereaved, or facing difficulties at work; proposing support for those in need of financial assistance , etc.

During every holiday and festival, the group always coordinates and implements policies fully and thoughtfully to ensure that each member receives attention from the trade union organization. The group also actively encourages members to participate in the company's grassroots trade union activities such as: disseminating legal regulations on insurance, occupational safety, and fire prevention; planting trees along the border, and voluntary blood donation... The budget allocated for activities caring for union members and workers in the group averages about 140 million VND per year. This contributes to improving the spiritual life and strengthening the connection among union members in the group.

"Every female member of the youth union is protected, given opportunities, and empowered to confidently develop her abilities."

With nearly 70% of its members and employees being women, the Women's Committee has, over the years, closely coordinated with the Trade Union Executive Committee and the hospital's Board of Directors to closely monitor the situation of its members, thereby providing timely advice to ensure that 100% of female employees receive full social insurance, health insurance, and regular health check-ups.

Furthermore, the Women's Committee always focuses on caring for the spiritual well-being of female members through activities such as: seminars on March 8th and October 20th, the "Union Meal" program, "Mid-Autumn Festival for the Children of Union Members"... At the same time, it actively coordinates the organization of competitions, training courses, and professional skills training, creating opportunities for female nurses, midwives, and medical technicians to learn and improve their skills. As a result, many initiatives and research projects by female staff members have been applied in practice, yielding practical results.

"Providing timely, targeted, and appropriate care."

Recognizing that caring for the well-being and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members is a central task, the Trade Union Executive Committee has proactively coordinated closely with the unit's leadership, strictly implementing policies and regulations to ensure that 100% of union members participate in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, and are considered for regular and early salary increases according to regulations. Every case of illness, bereavement, or difficult circumstances receives timely support; during this term alone, 72 union members received assistance totaling 49.5 million VND.

Despite the large and dispersed number of union members, the union branches have effectively fulfilled their role as a central point of contact, regularly gathering information, promptly visiting and encouraging those in need, and providing care to the right people at the right time. Thanks to the responsible involvement of the union branches, all regulations, policies, and support activities are fully implemented, without any delays or omissions.
