Hung King's Commemoration Ceremony: Paying tribute to our ancestors who built and defended the country

This year, the Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land will be held from April 20 to April 29 (ie March 1 to March 10, Quy Mao year) in Phu Tho province with both a ceremony and a festival.

The People's Committee of Phu Tho province and Viet Tri city have issued plans to organize and participate in activities within the framework of the Festival.

Specifically, the content of the Ceremony includes: The death anniversary of the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan and offering incense to commemorate the Mother Au Co (April 25, 2023); The death anniversary of the Hung Kings and offering flowers at the relief "Uncle Ho talking to cadres and soldiers of the Vanguard Army" (April 29, 2023); The incense offering ceremony to commemorate the Hung Kings of districts, cities, towns in Phu Tho province, localities, organizations and the community (from April 20 to April 29, 2023). The organization of the Ceremony ensures solemnity, solemnity, and community spirit to ensure civilization, thrift, and traditionaleducation towards the origin.

The Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony and the 2023 Culture and Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land aim to educate the tradition of patriotism, deep gratitude to the Hung Kings and ancestors who built and defended the country; arouse the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" and the strength of great national unity towards the origin, showing gratitude to the ancestors' merits. The Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony also aims to contribute to preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage in the homeland of the Ancestral Land and representative cultural heritages of humanity recognized by UNESCO.
