Inauguration ceremony of the project to build a bypass road south of Phu Phong town

(gialai.gov.vn) – On the morning of August 19, in Tay Son commune, the Provincial People's Committee solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the project to build a bypass road to the south of Phu Phong town. Attending the inauguration ceremony were comrades: Rah Lan Chung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Huu Que - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dinh Ngoc Hai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. Also attending were representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Committee and people of Tay Son and Binh Phu communes.

In recent years, with the attention and support of the Government, Central Ministries and branches and the determination of the Party Committee, the government and the people of the province, the transport infrastructure system has been gradually developed and completed, creating an important driving force to promote socio -economic development; many key transport works of the province have been invested in construction and put into operation, contributing to improving connectivity capacity and expanding development space. Among them, the southern bypass of Phu Phong town is a key project, prioritized for investment in the period of 2021-2025. The project plays a role in connecting the East-West axis traffic between the Central Highlands and the Central Coast, contributing to reducing traffic pressure through the Phu Phong urban center, creating favorable conditions for the transport of goods and passengers, while opening up space for urban, industrial, service and tourism development for the Tay Son area and the whole province.

Comrade Ngo Anh Tuan - Deputy Director of the Provincial Traffic and Civil Works Project Management Board reported on the project implementation process.

The project passes through the communes of Tay Son and Binh Phu with a length of about 17.98km, designed according to the standards of a grade III plain road with a design speed of 80km/h, a 12m wide roadbed, an 11m wide asphalt concrete road surface with 02 lanes for motor vehicles and 02 lanes for rudimentary vehicles; Total investment of 791,386 billion VND (of which, the central budget: 440 billion VND, provincial budget capital: 351,386 billion VND). After 03 years of construction implementation from August 2022, with many difficulties and obstacles, especially the work of compensation and site clearance, but with the close direction of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee; close coordination of departments, branches, localities; consensus and support of the people, especially households that have to relocate and give up land for the project; and the efforts of the investor, consultant, and contractor, the project was completed on schedule, ensuring quality and safety.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Que emphasized: The project to build a bypass road to the south of Phu Phong town is one of the projects of strategic significance, marking a new step forward in the transport infrastructure and development of the locality. The organization of the inauguration ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 shows the significance, importance, as well as the determination of the Party Committee, government and people of the province to participate in contributing to the important event of the country "new era, the era of national development".

On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee respectfully thanked the Government, the Central Ministries and branches for their attention and support of resources for investing in the road; the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for their close direction and timely removal of obstacles; the departments, branches and local authorities for their close cooperation and coordination throughout the process from the start of construction to the completion of the project. He also thanked hundreds of households for sharing, supporting and handing over the site and the investors, consultants and contractors for their urgent and scientific work, overcoming harsh weather and many difficulties to bring the project to the finish line on schedule.

In order to maximize the effectiveness of the project, Mr. Nguyen Huu Que requested the investor and the management unit to carry out warranty and maintenance work well, ensuring traffic safety and the longevity of the project. In addition, departments, branches and localities should quickly review, adjust and supplement relevant planning along both sides of the road to exploit land funds reasonably for urban, industrial, commercial and tourism development, etc. Strive to turn this route into a new development axis, actively contributing to the target of double-digit economic growth in the period of 2026-2030, bringing the province into a new era - the era of strong growth.
