In a solemn atmosphere, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Comrade Duong Van Thai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation presented a speech at the Commemoration Ceremony, respectfully commemorating and expressing infinite gratitude for the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh - the genius leader, the great teacher of the Vietnamese revolution.

It reviews the event of Uncle Ho visiting and directing the 1st Congress of Ha Bac Provincial Party Committee on October 17, 1963.

With a simple, close-knit style, close to the people, on the morning of October 17th of that year, at the Bac Giang town stadium, Uncle Ho met and talked with more than 20,000 ethnic people of Ha Bac province. He advised and reminded cadres and people to "raise their sense of ownership and the spirit of thrift in building the country. Cadres in charge of sectors from the province to the commune must go deep and close to the grassroots".

Comrade Duong Van Thai said that over the past 60 years, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province have always kept in mind and implemented Uncle Ho's teachings. Entering the period of innovation, the Party Committee, government and people of the province continue to implement Uncle Ho's teachings, creatively applying them to policies and orientations for local development, suitable for each specific stage. After many years and many terms of persistent efforts, Ha Bac province in the past and Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces today have made strong developments and achieved many outstanding achievements.

From a purely agricultural province with extremely difficult socio-economic conditions at the time of re-establishment in 1997; Bac Giang has risen to become a bright spot of the country in many fields. In recent years, the province's GRDP growth rate has always been among the leading groups in the country; the economic scale has been constantly expanded; the economic structure has shifted positively. The investment and business environment has been increasingly improved. FDI attraction has always been in the top 10 of the country.

Comrade Duong Van Thai commented that the road ahead opens up many new development opportunities for Bac Giang, but also many new difficulties and challenges.

Looking back at the journey of the Party Committee and people of Bac Giang in implementing Uncle Ho's teachings, in addition to the great achievements, President Vo Van Thuong said that there are still many things that need to be done, and more efforts to repay Uncle Ho's deep affection and wishes for the province. The 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Bac Giang is an opportunity to remind and review the tradition, to add strength to the Party Committee and people of the province to strive to complete the set goals and tasks, and to do better than Uncle Ho's teachings.

The celebration brought the audience a special art program with the theme "Bac Giang forever remembers His grace". The program was invested in and elaborately staged to depict the great contributions and care of President Ho Chi Minh for Bac Giang, especially the day Uncle Ho visited and directed the 1st Congress of Ha Bac Provincial Party Committee. The program recreated and honored Bac Giang from a land rich in historical, cultural, patriotic and revolutionary traditions to its strong development through each period, creating momentum towards the future.

The art program is divided into 3 chapters: "Proudly remembering Uncle Ho's words", "Bac Giang reports to him", "Ho Chi Minh - the leading light" with the participation of famous singers, artists and hundreds of actors; using modern lighting technology; grand stage; vivid storytelling through theatrical scenes, reports, interviews with characters who have met Uncle Ho many times, researchers... has created a deep and emotional impression on the audience.

The celebration ended with a spectacular fireworks display. The brilliant, sparkling fireworks lit up the sky, carrying with them the belief and aspiration for a renewed Bac Giang that is moving forward strongly.
