Delegates attend the Candle Lighting Ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs
Attending the Candle Lighting Ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Tuan Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Phong Vu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Ho Thi Kim Thu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. Representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors, associations of the province; representatives of Quy Nhon Nam ward, Quy Nhon ward, Quy Nhon Bac ward; along with Veterans and Former Youth Volunteers.
On the side of the Provincial Youth Union, there was comrade Pham Hong Hiep - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, along with comrades in the Standing Committee, Standing Committee, and Executive Committee of the Provincial Youth Union. In particular, the Candle Lighting Ceremony was attended by more than 800 Youth Union officials, members, and children.
Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Pham Hong Hiep represented the youth of Gia Lai province to express gratitude to the heroic martyrs.
Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Pham Hong Hiep expressed: “In the sacred atmosphere of tonight - at the Quy Nhon Martyrs' Cemetery, the resting place of 681 outstanding children who devoted their youth to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland - let us together light candles of gratitude, express our respect and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs. To have peaceful and happy springs, millions of outstanding children of the nation fell, taking with them both unfinished dreams and brilliant youth. Many people returned with lifelong disabilities. Many families will never be able to see their loved ones again. Many graves have yet to be identified. Many heroic martyrs who have transformed themselves into the motherland have yet to be found. These things are not only memories, but also the responsibility of us - those who are living in peacetime today.
Delegates offer incense at the Monument of the Fatherland
In just a few minutes, each candle will be lit at each grave of the heroic martyrs. Each candle lit is a word of gratitude, a promise of today's young generation to the heroes. Gia Lai youth today vows to follow in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers, to live, fight, work and study well; to continue writing the epic about the heroic and indomitable Vietnamese people in the struggle; to be united, creative, friendly and courageous in building the country. At this sacred moment, on behalf of the youth of the province, we respectfully bow before the children of our homeland who have made history, and to share the loss with those who are still alive today. Let's light up the flame of absolute faith in the leadership of the Party, in the country's renovation; the flame of enthusiasm and the determined promise of the youth to follow in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers, contributing to building our province to be increasingly developed, sustainable and prosperous".
Delegates lit candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs
At the ceremony, the delegates performed the white dove releasing ceremony to express their deep gratitude and infinite gratitude to the heroic martyrs; carrying the belief and aspiration for peace, flying brightly in the free and peaceful sky of the homeland. Thereby expressing the wish for Vietnam to enter an era of growth, peace and prosperity.
Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh burned incense to commemorate the great contributions of previous generations.
In a solemn atmosphere, delegates, union members and young people respectfully offered flowers and incense at the Monument of the Fatherland, lit candles in gratitude on the graves of martyrs - those who devoted their youth to the independence and freedom of the nation, expressing the respect and deep gratitude of today's generation for the noble sacrifice of the previous generation.
Youth Union members light candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs
Before the heroic martyrs, today's generation vows to follow the tradition of the previous generation, inherit, preserve and promote the revolutionary achievements of the nation, compete in studying, training, working, producing, being creative, actively participating in patriotic emulation movements, building and defending the Fatherland, contributing to building Gia Lai homeland to become more and more prosperous.
Giving gifts to honor Veterans and Former Youth Volunteers
On this occasion, the Program Organizing Committee presented 10 gifts to the Veterans and Former Youth Volunteers to express deep gratitude for their sacrifices and contributions to the peace and independence of the nation.
