LG brings 'empathetic AI' to air conditioners in Vietnam

AI (artificial intelligence) is increasingly appearing on smart home appliances to better coordinate with users' desires and needs. Recently, LG Electronics said that its DualCool AI Air air conditioner product line, which will be launched in Vietnam from 2025, will have many improvements in design and functionality, including the appearance of "empathetic AI".

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Head of Training Department of LG Electronics Vietnam, said that by taking full advantage of the strength of Affectionate Intelligence (redefined by LG from the concept of Artificial Intelligence), users can enjoy a balanced airflow with ideal humidity that is fine-tuned for each individual.

Air conditioners with "empathetic AI" will appear on the market from early next year

The control and optimization between temperature and humidity is considered suitable for the characteristics of the monsoon climate and high humidity all year round in Vietnam. The development of AI technology also helps manufacturers realize many other types of smart sensors, helping the air conditioner automatically detect situations of sudden temperature differences to change the operating mode. In addition, the sensor detects people within a range of 5 meters, helping the device "know" how to adjust the wind direction, or when no one is detected, it will switch to energy-saving mode or automatically turn off after a preset time on the LG ThinQ management application installed on personal mobile devices.

The new feature of the product line is the dual-fan design, instead of using a single front blade, which helps the airflow spread further up to 22 meters, increasing by 22%, while improving performance with a 23% increase in cooling speed and 6% faster heating ability, the company representative shared at the "Sky Harmony" event taking place on the afternoon of December 17 in Hanoi .
