Match schedule of Vietnam women's Futsal team at SEA Games 33

VHO - The 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee has just announced the official schedule for the women's Futsal event. Accordingly, the Vietnamese women's Futsal team will begin their journey to compete at the Regional Sports Festival in Thailand from early December.

The Vietnamese women's futsal team, led by coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang, is in group B with Indonesia and Myanmar. Group A includes host Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines.

The team will play their opening match against Indonesia on December 12 and their remaining group stage match against Myanmar on December 14. The matches will be held at BTU Hall (Bangkok Thonburi University).

This is considered a balanced group as Myanmar and Indonesia are both rapidly improving opponents, having caused many difficulties for Vietnam in recent SEA Games.

The top two teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals on December 16, before entering the final and bronze medal match on December 18.

In the history of participating in the SEA Games, the Vietnamese women's Futsal team has won silver medals 5 times in 2007, 2011, 2013, 2017 and 2021. All 5 times, the team finished behind Thailand.

The Vietnam Women's Futsal Team is gathering in Ho Chi Minh City. It is expected that the team will have more than 4 weeks to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.

After the domestic training period, the team will go to China for training, including two friendly matches with the Chinese women's Futsal team in early December.
