Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Festival, Kanagawa Governor Kuroiwa Yuji expressed his sincere thanks to the Hanoi government for cooperating in organizing the event, giving Kanagawa province the opportunity to promote its culture.

Mr. Kuroiwa Yuji said that over the past time, Kanagawa province and Vietnam have built a good relationship. With the Kanagawa Festival in Hanoi, the event contributes to connecting the two cultures of Vietnam and Japan, enhancing people-to-people exchanges.
“Through this event, we hope to continue promoting Japanese culture and music to the Vietnamese people and tourists. With sincere feelings, we hope to welcome many Vietnamese people to Kanagawa,” Governor Kuroiwa Yuji shared.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized that over the years, the Kanagawa Festival in Hanoi has become a vivid symbol of friendship, trust and people-to-people exchange between Vietnam and Japan.
This is not only a place to introduce the natural beauty, culture and unique cuisine of Kanagawa and Japan, but also an opportunity for Vietnamese people to experience, understand and love more the "land of the rising sun" - a sincere friend and trusted partner of Vietnam for many decades.
“This year, the event is being held for the 6th time, marking a milestone in the close and effective cooperation between the Kanagawa Provincial Government and Hanoi Capital, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies of Vietnam.

The festival not only enriches the spiritual life of the people of the capital, but also contributes to strengthening the friendly relationship and development cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of culture, tourism and people-to-people exchange," said Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong.
The Deputy Minister believes that through the Kanagawa Festival in Vietnam, the people of Vietnam and Japan will continue to find similarities in their souls, in their love of beauty, creativity and humanistic spirit – values that have been, are and will continue to be the foundation for the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world between the two countries.

Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen affirmed that the Kanagawa Festival in Hanoi is an event that the people of the capital are looking forward to. The event is an opportunity to promote the unique cultural features of Kanagawa province to the people of the capital and introduce traditional cultural features of Vietnam to the people of Japan.


“Over the years, the festival has been constantly upgraded in terms of scale, content and organization; diversified the experience space, increased interactive activities for young people; connected businesses on both sides, and promoted tourism. The festival has gradually affirmed its brand, serving as a cultural and economic bridge between the two localities and two peoples,” added Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen.


During the 2 days of the Festival at Thong Nhat Park - Tran Nhan Tong walking street, activities will take place including Yosakoi Festival, Kanagawa quiz, cosplay contest, experience wearing traditional Japanese costumes...
Especially at 7:00 p.m. on November 16, within the framework of the Festival, there will be a Hoang Dung live show.
With careful preparation, the Kanagawa Festival in Hanoi 2025 promises to be an opportunity for the capital's people to experience unique Japanese culture, while further strengthening the friendly relationship between Hanoi and Kanagawa province.
