The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued the time frame for the 2023-2024 school year for preschooleducation , general education and continuing education. Accordingly, the opening day of the 2023-2024 school year nationwide is September 5, 2023. Students nationwide will return to school 1 week earlier than the opening day; for first graders, they will return to school 2 weeks earlier than the opening day.

Finish semester I before January 15, 2024, complete the education plan for semester II before May 25, 2024 and end the school year before May 31, 2024. Consider recognition of completion of primary school program and consider recognition of secondary school graduation before June 30, 2024. Complete enrollment for first-level classes before July 31, 2024. Take high school graduation exams and national exams according to regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The Ministry of Education and Training also builds a school year schedule for preschool education and general education with 35 weeks of actual study; continuing education for grades 9 and 12 has 32 weeks of actual study; the remaining regular classes have 35 weeks of actual study like general education.

Holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidelines.
