Joint venture of contractors to carry out Phu Cat airport construction package worth over 2,000 billion VND

The Gia Lai Province Traffic and Civil Works Project Management Board has just approved the results of selecting investors for the entire construction and equipment installation package of the Investment Project for Construction of Runway No. 2 and synchronous works at the Phu Cat Airport flight area.

Accordingly, the winning contractor is the Phu Cat Airport Package Joint Venture including Truong Son Construction Corporation (main joint venture), ACC Aviation Construction Corporation and DACINCO Construction Investment Company Limited.

The consortium participated in the bidding package with a winning bid price of VND 2,036,440,225,000 (the bid price was VND 744,247 million lower than the bidding package price); delivery (implementation) time was 12 months.

According to the Gia Lai Province Traffic and Civil Works Project Management Board (the inviting party and investor), the above package has a package price of 2,037,184,473,000 VND, the estimated price is 2,047,548,131,000 VND. The bid security value is 31 billion VND.

The contractor selection method is one stage with one envelope, contract type according to adjusted unit price, open bidding form. As a result, there is 1 contractor participating (bid opening on August 14, 2025).

Previously, on July 14, 2025, the Management Board of Traffic and Civil Works Projects of Gia Lai province announced the Investment Project to build runway No. 2 and synchronous works at Phu Cat Airport with a project implementation period of 4 years, total investment of more than 3,245,089 billion VND. The implementation location is in An Nhon ward, Gia Lai province.

On February 6, 2025, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province (now Gia Lai province) approved the investment policy for the construction of the Project to build Runway No. 2 and synchronous works at Phu Cat Airport. Implementation period is in the period of 2025 - 2028.

Total project investment is 3,246 billion VND. Including compensation and resettlement support costs of 1,003 billion VND; construction costs of 1,560 billion VND; equipment costs of 242 billion VND; project management costs, construction investment consultancy and other costs of 180 billion VND; contingency costs of 261 billion VND.

Capital from the state budget managed by the province (including central support capital and other legal capital sources) in the period 2021 - 2025 and the period 2026 - 2030.

Tomorrow morning (August 19, 2025), the People's Committee of Gia Lai province will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the Project to build Runway No. 2 and synchronous works at Phu Cat Airport. This is one of 8 projects and works to be started, inaugurated, and ground-breaking in Gia Lai province to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
