Ben Cat City Labor Federation: Support union members and workers in difficult circumstances with more than 2.3 billion VND

(BDO) On the morning of June 6, the Ben Cat City Labor Federation (BLF) held a preliminary review of union activities in the first 6 months of 2025. Attending the meeting were Ms. Ong Thuy Hoang Mai, Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation, local leaders, and more than 200 affiliated grassroots unions.

In the first 6 months of 2025, Ben Cat City Labor Federation continued to strengthen its close contact with the grassroots, grasp the situation of union members and workers; coordinate with city departments and branches to monitor the implementation of labor laws, provide legal advice to union members and workers to review documents. The average income of workers is 6.5 to 7 million VND/person/month. In addition to wages, businesses also pay attention to solving the mid-shift meal regime, bonus regime and other allowances for workers.

Ben Cat City leaders honor exemplary union officials and businesses

Regarding social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, about 90% of enterprises pay according to regulations. Labor relations at grassroots unions are generally stable, harmonious, and oriented towards common interests. In the first 6 months of the year, Ben Cat City Labor Federation recruited 1,221 new members, reaching 24.42% of the target.

In the programs “Tet Sum Vay” and “Worker Month”, the unit visited and supported 4,000 workers and laborers in difficult circumstances with a total budget of more than 2.3 billion VND. In the work of negotiating and signing collective labor agreements, the unit guided 153 enterprises, signing 131 new agreements with salary, bonus and welfare regimes.

Ms. Ong Thuy Hoang Mai, Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation, commended collectives and individuals in the movement of excellent workers and building strong trade union organizations.

Along with that, the Ben Cat City Labor Federation launched a 100% union movement to proactively coordinate with leaders, authorities at the same level, and business directors to participate in the Month of Action on occupational safety and hygiene and the green - clean - beautiful movement. Responding to the movement "Digital literacy", the city's Labor Federation launched a conference to deploy the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the communication and propaganda work of the union.
