Festival of gong and traditional musical instruments of ethnic minorities in Dak Nong province

Comrades: Ho Xuan Truong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Trong Yen, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, localities and a large number of people attended.

Comrade Ho Xuan Truong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended the festival.

The festival has the participation of 9 art troupes from 8 districts and cities in the province.

The art troupes will take turns performing gongs and traditional musical instruments; reenacting rituals and festivals; folk dances, traditional costumes, etc., reflecting the working life and cultural activities of ethnic communities in Dak Nong province.

Comrade Le Trong Yen, Member of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee delivered the opening speech of the festival.

In his opening speech, Mr. Le Trong Yen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that the festival is a celebration of the unique values and strong vitality of traditional culture of ethnic groups. This is an opportunity for artisans and mass actors of ethnic groups in Dak Nong province to exchange cultural and artistic beauty associated with gong and traditional musical instrument performances.

Comrades Le Trong Yen, Member of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Nghiem Dinh Hieu, Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented flowers to members of the festival's Jury.

At the same time, the festival is an opportunity to introduce and promote the traditional cultural image, potential and strengths of tourism development of Dak Nong province. Thereby, contributing to preserving traditional culture, attracting tourists and investors to Dak Nong.

The Organizing Committee presented souvenir flags and flowers to representatives of delegations attending the festival.

The festival contributesto educating the tradition of patriotism, national pride, and sense of responsibility to protect cultural heritage of all people; enhancing the awareness, responsibility, and pride of the generation of artisans, owners of the heritage of the Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space.

Dak Glong district's art troupe recreates an excerpt from the Bre Ro He Festival (Calling the Rice Soul Back) of the Ma ethnic group.

After the opening ceremony, the troupe of artists and extras from Dak Glong, Cu Jut, Dak Song districts and N'Trang Long Ethnic Minority High School (Gia Nghia City) performed.

Tomorrow, December 11, at Gia Nghia City flower garden, there will be performances by the Tuy Duc, Dak R'lap, Dak Mil, Krong No troupes, Gia Nghia City.
