Boyfriend supports when competing in beauty pageant

Early morning of July 23, at a press conference right after being crowned Miss World Vietnam 2023, newly crowned Miss Huynh Tran Y Nhi publicly announced her 6-year relationship with her same-age boyfriend, her first love.

Her action was surprising because unlike many other beauty queens, she is usually secretive about her personal life.

Y Nhi said that her current boyfriend is her first love. They have been in love since she was still in school.

Y Nhi said: "I don't hide my love life because I want to be honest with myself, the organizers, the judges and the audience. It is love that gives me great motivation and encouragement in the competition."

She also denied the information that her boyfriend is a rich kid. Accordingly, the new beauty queen's boyfriend is named Nguyen Minh Kiet, 21 years old, studying at Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, whose parents are teachers at a secondary school.

Y Nhi openly and without hiding this information gives the audience an objective view. The couple is supported by teachers because they are both good students, support each other and help their classmates achieve good academic results.

“In a relationship, both parties need to understand and guide each other forward. Love starts from both sides and cannot be separated if both parties understand each other. My boyfriend did not know about beauty pageants but tried to learn and prepare the best for me to confidently compete.

As a contestant of Miss World Vietnam 2023, my boyfriend supported me to wholeheartedly pursue my dream and shine in the contest. After being crowned, my schedule is very busy but I am sure he will understand because I still have a noble mission, towards the community," the new beauty queen shared more.

Sharing about her family, the new beauty queen Huynh Tran Y Nhi said she comes from Binh Dinh and came to Ho Chi Minh City to study. Her father is a director of a construction company, her mother is a housewife. The new beauty queen has two younger sisters.

"My father is the director of a construction company, so he is very brave, mature, confident, and communicates well with partners, creating the company's brand.

I am the eldest child in the family, so I have had these characteristics since I was young. I am always independent, mature, and think about my family, especially my two younger sisters. Growing up, I learned many more virtues from my father, especially bravery," Y Nhi shared.

It's not that Y Nhi's coronation is a favor to Binh Dinh province.

Ms. Pham Kim Dung - President of Miss World Vietnam and head of the jury, said that Y Nhi's victory was convincing because she had all the elements of beauty, performance skills, and thinking.

The head of the contest also denied that Y Nhi's coronation was a favor to Binh Dinh province - where the final round of the contest took place.

"Following Y Nhi throughout the journey, we saw the contestant's efforts and transformation. The organizers and judges were not influenced or pressured by anything," Ms. Dung added.

Talking about the love life of the new beauty queen, Ms. Pham Kim Dung said that having a lover or not is not too important to a beauty queen.

Ms. Dung also affirmed that she always supports the beauties she manages to have beautiful love, and at the same time encourages them to balance personal love, family love and work.

"If Y Nhi is comfortable publicly revealing her "other half", then this must be someone who understands her very well, has trust in her, and will definitely not hinder her development," Ms. Dung expressed.

Huynh Tran Y Nhi was born in 2002, from Binh Dinh, 1.75m tall, three-round measurements 79-59-89cm, currently a student at International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University).

The new beauty queen impressed with her sweet beauty and good English communication skills. Y Nhi is said to have a harmonious combination of appearance, education and good stage skills. Y Nhi's elegance is also considered to be close to the criteria of Miss World.

At Miss World Vietnam 2023, she won the Fashion Beauty award (straight into the Top 20 finalists), Top 5 Beach Beauty, Top 16 Charity Beauty.
