After the regrettable 1-1 draw against U17 UAE, which prevented the U17 Vietnam team from getting a ticket to the 2025 U17 World Cup finals, coach Cristiano Roland still expressed his pride in the spirit and gradual maturity of his players.

“Football always has unexpected developments at the last minute. We prepared very carefully for this important match. The players played with all their strength and solidarity. Even though we could not go on, I am still very proud of the team's performance,” said coach Cristiano Roland.

After 3 draws against stronger opponents such as Japan and Australia, coach Cristiano Roland highly appreciated the experience that the young players had accumulated: “From the first days of training until entering the tournament and to the final match, the whole team has continuously developed. The players have not only matured professionally but also nurtured greater aspirations for their careers. They are the future of Vietnamese football,” said coach Cristiano Roland.

Facing regret and sadness after the match, coach Cristiano Roland encouraged his players: “In the locker room after the match, I told the players to keep their heads up. The most important thing at their age is to gain experience and keep their will. We still have a long way to go, and this journey has only just begun.”

The Vietnam U17 team could not advance after drawing 1-1 with UAE U17 in the final round of Group B.

In fact, U17 Vietnam fell into a difficult group and was underestimated, but our players played very hard with a commendable draw against U17 Australia; coach Cristiano Roland and his team surprised everyone by forcing the defending champion U17 Japan to share points.
