A series of Oil and Gas enterprises are on the list of the largest tax-paying enterprises in Vietnam.

The General Department of Taxation has just issued Official Dispatch No. 4586/TCT-KK to publicize the list of 1,000 enterprises paying the largest corporate income tax (V1000) in 2022. Among them, there are many Oil and Gas enterprises.


In the list of 1,000 enterprises paying the largest corporate income tax in 2022, the Oil and Gas industry has many enterprises such as: Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) ranked 6th; PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) ranked 21st; Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) ranked 26th; Vietnam - Russia Joint Venture Vietsovpetro ranked 48th; along with the participation of many other enterprises such as: Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (PVCFC); Vietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL); Vietnam Petroleum Technical Services Joint Stock Corporation ( PTSC ); PetroVietnam Transportation Joint Stock Corporation (PVTrans); Insurance Corporation (PVI); Vietnam Oil and Gas Group; PetroVietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution Joint Stock Company; Pacific Petroleum Transportation Joint Stock Company; Nhon Trach 2 Petroleum Power Joint Stock Company; CNG Vietnam Joint Stock Company;…

Enterprises selected for the 2022 V1000 ranking list include enterprises established under Vietnamese law, foreign enterprises, and other organizations with production and business activities with income subject to corporate income tax according to the provisions of the Law on Corporate Income Tax (CIT). The CIT payment level is the total amount of CIT that the enterprise has paid to the state budget in 2022. Enterprises with branches and affiliated units (granted 13-digit tax codes for affiliated units) include the CIT paid by the head office and branches and affiliated units.

According to the General Department of Taxation, in terms of contribution to the state budget, the total corporate income tax paid by enterprises in the V1000 list in 2022 accounts for 58.2% of the total state budget revenue from corporate income tax and is equal to 85.1% compared to the amount paid by enterprises in the V1000 list in 2021. After 6 years of implementing the V1000 public disclosure (2016 - 2021), there are 301 enterprises that have been on the V1000 list for 7 consecutive years in 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2016. In the V1000 list in 2022, 331 enterprises in the V1000 list in 2021 were eliminated, and at the same time, 331 enterprises were added to the V1000 list in 2022.
Pursuant to Directive No. 26/CT-TTg dated June 6, 2017 of the Prime Minister on continuing to effectively implement Resolution 35/NQ-CP dated May 16, 2016 of the Government on supporting and developing enterprises until 2020, the Ministry of Finance is assigned the task of: "Directing tax authorities to publicly announce on the electronic information portal the detailed ranking list of the 1,000 enterprises paying the largest corporate income tax in Vietnam". Therefore, every year, the General Department of Taxation, based on tax payment data on the tax management information system, compiles and compiles a list of the 1,000 enterprises paying the largest corporate income tax.
