Department of Tourism receives 8 important tasks in the Program to promote investment, trade and tourism in Hanoi city in 2025

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Program No. 05/CTr-UBND on promoting investment, trade and tourism in Hanoi city in 2025.

The program was issued to promote and create more positive changes in implementing breakthroughs, restructuring the capital's economy , associated with innovation of the growth model, improving productivity, quality, efficiency, competitiveness and internal capacity of the capital's economy; contributing to achieving the target of GRDP growth of over 8% by 2025.

Together with the Departments, Boards and sectors of Hanoi city, Hanoi Department of Tourism is assigned to undertake the main tasks in the Program for Promoting Investment, Trade and Tourism of Hanoi city in 2025.

Continue to promote the results achieved in promotion work and effectively implement it in the period of 2015-2020; create favorable conditions for all levels, sectors, economic sectors, organizations, enterprises and individuals to participate in investment, trade and tourism promotion activities; focus on promoting on-site investment promotion activities; resolve bottlenecks and difficulties for domestic investment enterprises; promote administrative reform and digital transformation in promotion work.

Improve the efficiency of using state budget resources for promotion work; focus on key promotion activities to ensure practicality and effectiveness; focus on building and organizing large-scale, annual promotion events of the City; connect fields with spillover effects; participate in leading regional and world promotion events; and at the same time integrate with propaganda to implement socio-economic development tasks, patriotic emulation movements, and political events of the country and the Capital.

Strengthening investment, trade and tourism promotion activities combined with diplomatic, foreign affairs and cultural activities at home and abroad, contributing to building the image and brand of Hanoi Capital - Green, Cultural, Civilized, Modern; developing a dynamic, efficient, highly competitive urban area domestically, regionally and internationally, creating a high-quality living, working and entertainment environment, as well as a favorable investment environment.

In particular, together with the Departments, Boards and sectors of Hanoi city, Hanoi Department of Tourism is assigned to undertake the following main tasks: Strengthening communication and promotion of Hanoi tourism on television channels (VTV, HanoiTV, ...), international media (Halal markets such as India, UAE, ...), websites, social networks (YouTube, Facebook ...) and other suitable forms; spreading the message "Hanoi - Safe, friendly, quality, attractive destination"; Continuing to digitize destinations of relics, heritages, and craft villages with 360° photos and new technology; Building utility software to support tourism management and promotion, providing information to tourists; collecting and processing data on the current status of rural tourism; implementing digital transformation, connecting tourism data to the common system; Upgrading Hanoi tourism electronic information page; compiling and publishing "Hanoi Tourism Newsletter".

In addition, the Program also assigned the Department of Tourism to actively organize events to introduce cultural, historical, sports, entertainment, culinary, night tourism, and gift products - OCOP in districts; Professional tourism promotion programs and festivals such as: Hanoi Tourism Welcomes the New Year 2025, Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2025, Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2025; Participate in tourism promotion at international promotion organizations (TPO, CPTA), the Hanoi - Lao Cai - Quang Ninh - Hai Phong - Yunnan corridor cooperation program and the Mekong - Lancang Tourism Cities Cooperation Alliance; deploy Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia tourism cooperation; Carry out promotional activities according to the 2025 key market plan of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

According to the issued Program, the Department of Tourism is the focal point to assist the City People's Committee in state management of tourism promotion; Preside over and coordinate with relevant units to organize the implementation of assigned activities under the City's 2025 Promotion Program in accordance with the approved objectives, content, progress, and budget and take full responsibility for its activities, in accordance with specialized laws, instructions of the Ministry, and directions of the City, ensuring efficiency and savings.

Along with that, the Department of Culture and Sports is responsible for coordinating with relevant units to deploy information and communication work to serve promotional activities according to the Promotion Program approved by the City People's Committee.
