The program aims to update information, share strategic orientations for tourism development in the period 2025 - 2030 and open up a closer coordination mechanism between local authorities, businesses and the community. This is considered an important initial step to form a sustainable cooperation model, promoting green, creative and unique tourism.
The event is also expected to open a period of more comprehensive cooperation between the city and the forces participating in tourism development, in which the ward and commune levels play a key role. Creating a connection network from the grassroots will help the city develop tourism in harmony between economy - culture - environment, contributing to building the image of a modern, friendly and sustainable Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that the city is identifying tourism as a key economic sector. Therefore, direct connection with 168 wards and communes will create a solid foundation for the city's tourism network.
The Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee requested relevant units to step up coordination to enrich the city’s destination system. Mr. Dung also emphasized the need for stronger programs on digital tourism and green tourism to achieve the two key goals of the city’s tourism industry in the coming period.

Commenting on the strategic vision and sustainable cooperation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa - Chairwoman of the Board of Members of Saigontourist affirmed that Vietnamese tourism can only reach out to the world when it originates from a deep connection with the locality that holds the identity, resources and cultural stories.
“Cooperating with 168 wards and communes and strategic media partners is a concrete step to realize our commitment to sustainable development. We hope to work with the government and community to build a civilized tourism environment, preserve heritage and improve the quality of life for the people,” said Ms. Hoa.
According to Ms. Hoa, the "golden triangle" including government - businesses - local community will be the foundation for the city to move closer to its goal of becoming a leading destination in Asia in the coming years.
