On the morning of August 16, the People's Committee of Binh An commune and the people solemnly held a ceremony to receive the provincial-level historical and cultural relic certificates for Tran Van and Dang Phuong family temples. Attending the ceremony were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bau Ha and Le Ngoc Chau; representatives of leaders of some departments, branches and Loc Ha district.
The Tran Van family temple in Xuan Trieu village (Binh An commune) was built by descendants during the Later Le Dynasty (1710 - 1780) to worship ancestors, including the ancestor god Tran Tuyet (nicknamed Vinh Huu). According to the Han - Nom genealogy of the Tran family, in the second half of the 17th century, the ancestor of the Tran Van family, Mr. Tran Dien, came to the land of Bau hamlet (old), Loc Nguyen village, Canh Hoach commune, Can Loc district to settle down and establish the Tran Van family in Binh An commune today. Tran Tuyet served in the army during the reign of King Le Y Tong and achieved many feats in battles to destroy the remnants of the Mac Dynasty. During his lifetime, he was awarded the title of Bach Ho by the royal court. The Tran Van family temple has the following items: Bai Duong, Thuong Dien and Tran Tuyet temple.
Dang Phuong Temple in Thong Nhat village (Binh An commune) is a place to worship the ancestors of the Dang Phuong family, including Phan Luc General Dang Phuong - the 4th generation ancestor of the family. During his lifetime, Phan Luc General Dang Phuong was famous as a loyal minister of the Le Trinh dynasty, a famous general with many glorious victories on the battlefield. Currently, the relic still preserves a royal decree of the Canh Hung era, conferring the title of Bach Ho on Dang Phuong. Dang Phuong Temple has the following items: Bai Duong, Thuong Dien, and Dang Phuong shrine.
To recognize the contributions of the sages and encourage the clans, communities, and localities to promote historical, cultural, architectural, and spiritual values... on February 16, 2024, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province issued Decision No. 484/QD-UBND recognizing the churches of the two above-mentioned clans as provincial-level historical and cultural relics.
