New generation expense management tool for businesses
In a period of continuously escalating input costs, slow revenue growth and greater competitive pressure, maintaining a stable cash flow has become a common challenge for many Vietnamese businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). According to the General Statistics Office, the average operating costs of businesses in the first 9 months of 2025 increased from 5.8 to 7.2% depending on the industry, of which soft costs such as advertising, travel, customer reception and software purchases account for a significant proportion.
According to a study by the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) on Vietnamese business spending behavior, 40% of SMEs are concerned about invoice management and expense reconciliation. Notably, most SME import businesses need faster and less procedural international payment solutions. In particular, this bank noted that many SME businesses have difficulty controlling dispersal of spending by employee/department/traditional document reconciliation.
Understanding the difficulties of businesses, MB cooperated with Visa and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) to launch the new version of the MB Visa Hi BIZ multi-function corporate card. The product is not only a payment method but is positioned as a modern financial management tool, helping businesses streamline operations and expand trading activities.

The product is designed to optimize costs for businesses. The card integrates two sources of money: credit card and debit card, supporting businesses in flexibly handling expenses from business trips, advertising, booking rooms and airline tickets, to purchasing management software.
The highlight is the foreign currency conversion fee of only 1.2% and the refund mechanism of up to 30 million VND per year. This is a competitive incentive among large banks, helping businesses optimize costs when making international payments or internal expenses related to advertising platforms, digital tools or business services.
By connecting directly to the BIZ MBBank digital ecosystem, the card helps businesses track, analyze and reconcile spending in real time. All transactions are recorded automatically, helping accountants reduce document checking time and minimize errors during operations.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Deputy Director of MB Digital Banking, said that the bank aims to create a “one-touch” financial tool to help businesses manage cash flow more intelligently. According to him, when businesses have clear and instantaneous spending data, all budget-related decisions become more accurate and effective.
Same-day international trade payments
According to KOTRA, Vietnam-Korea trade will reach over 80 billion USD by 2024 and continue to grow. However, SMEs often face difficulties due to lengthy international payment processes, requiring many documents and lacking flexibility when transactions need to be processed quickly.
MB's integration of the Global Trade Payment Platform (GTPP) into the MB Visa Hi BIZ card creates a major breakthrough. GTPP allows Vietnamese businesses to make direct payments to Korean export partners using corporate cards, with same-day processing and a fully digitized process.
KOTRA representative assessed that this solution will help standardize trade activities between the two countries, especially supporting SMEs which often face obstacles when accessing traditional payment methods.
Ms. Dang Tuyet Dung, Director of Visa Vietnam and Laos, also commented that cross-border B2B payments using corporate cards are a new financial trend, contributing to improving cash flow and increasing transparency for businesses.
In October 2025, MB was honored by Visa with two awards: “Pioneering innovative bank promoting corporate cards” and “Pioneering bank in B2B payment solutions for SMEs”. This is a recognition of the bank's efforts in developing products that suit the needs of businesses and promoting digital financial transformation in Vietnam.
With the launch of the new version of MB Visa Hi BIZ, the bank continues to affirm its product development strategy based on a deep understanding of the operational needs of businesses. The product is expected to become the main choice of Vietnamese businesses in spending, reconciliation and trading activities.
In the past 3 months, MB Visa Hi BIZ card has recorded more than 15,000 businesses registering to use it. Card spending has increased by 200% per month. In particular, the bank has recorded feedback from customers that the card helps businesses reduce 80% of the time spent on processing advances, payments, and reconciliation.
