MB joins hands with Visa and KOTRA: Opening international trade routes, shortening money transfer time by 3-5 days

Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) announced the new version of MB Visa Hi BIZ Business Card with outstanding incentives for business management, opening international trade through strategic cooperation with Visa and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), to meet the digital transformation trend in compliance with Decree 70 and the need to optimize costs, increase operational efficiency in the era of smart management for Vietnamese enterprises.

According to MB’s research on Vietnamese business spending behavior, up to 40% of SMEs are concerned about invoice management and expense reconciliation, and most SME importers need faster and less procedural international payment solutions. In particular, MB noted that many SMEs have difficulty controlling expenses dispersed by employee/department/traditional document reconciliation.

MB Visa Hi BIZ is positioned as a multi-purpose corporate card, focusing on increasing transparency in expense management and optimizing operating costs. The card has a minimalist design according to MB identity and integrates two sources of money at the same time - credit card and debit card - creating flexibility for businesses in online advertising expenses, business trips, entertaining guests or paying for digital services.

The new version applies a 1.2% foreign currency conversion fee and a maximum cashback program of VND 30 million per year. All card transactions are synchronized with the BIZ MBBank ecosystem, helping businesses track real-time cash flow, decentralize spending by department and minimize the risk of loss during reconciliation.

The new Business Card product has a minimalist, luxurious design with MB's signature blue color, and integrates two sources of money (debit card and credit card), helping businesses flexibly use it in many situations. Instead of spending hundreds of millions of VND each year on paperwork, businesses can both optimize operations and enjoy incentives ranging from purchasing management software ( MISA , Google Workspace, ...), business trips (airport lounges, hotels), and receiving guests (restaurants, travel) which are all essential needs for businesses.

Same-day cross-border B2B payment between Vietnam and Korea

A notable point of MB Visa Hi BIZ is the ability to make cross-border trade payments via the Global Trade Payment Platform (GTPP). The solution, developed by Visa and KOTRA, supports B2B payments between Vietnamese businesses and Korean partners using corporate cards, with same-day processing time. This significantly shortens the traditional international money transfer method, which requires 3-5 days and many paperwork procedures.

According to KOTRA, Vietnam is currently Korea's third largest export market, with bilateral trade turnover reaching more than 80 billion USD by 2024. Standardizing payment processes between the two markets is expected to significantly support small and medium-sized enterprises – those who often have difficulty accessing international payment services.

Visa Vietnam representative said that B2B payment by corporate card is a global trend thanks to its ability to improve cash flow and increase transparency. MB's deployment of the new feature helps Vietnamese businesses access international transaction standards.
