Long Thanh airport needs nearly 900 people, extends time to receive labor recruitment applications

VTV.vn - Long Thanh Airport has extended the deadline for receiving recruitment applications, opening up more opportunities for candidates to work at the country's largest aviation project.

In order to create the best conditions for workers who want to participate in the national key aviation project, the Long Thanh International Airport Labor Recruitment Council has just announced an extension of the application deadline to November 21. This decision expands the opportunity for candidates to complete procedures and promptly submit their applications for key positions at the future airport.

The positions available range from engineering, operations, aviation security to ground handling. Many positions require candidates with intermediate or higher qualifications, and preference is given to those with practical experience in the fields of aviation, engineering and operations management.

The demand for human resources for this project is huge. The Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) alone, the investor, has a need to recruit 891 workers. Along with ACV, a series of other operating units are also actively recruiting large numbers, such as Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company recruiting 956 people, Vietnam Airport Ground Services Company Limited (VIAGS) 464 people, Saigon Ground Services Joint Stock Company (SAGS) 540 people. In addition, catering service providers also have a large demand, with Vietnam Air Catering Company Limited (VACS) needing 118 people and Vietnam Air Catering Services Joint Stock Company (VINACS) needing 332 people, along with 188 people from Tan Son Nhat Airport Services Joint Stock Company (SASCO). Previously, at the end of August, the Long Thanh Airport Job Fair, co-organized by ACV, attracted thousands of candidates, opening up nearly 3,000 job opportunities when the airport came into operation.

Long Thanh Airport is planned to reach level 4F according to the classification of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), aiming to become one of the important aviation transit centers in the region. After completing all 3 phases, the airport will have a capacity of 100 million passengers/year and 5 million tons of cargo/year.

In phase 1, the project is investing in the construction of 2 runways, 1 passenger terminal with a capacity of 25 million passengers/year, along with 1 cargo terminal with a capacity of 550,000 tons of cargo/year and synchronous auxiliary items. The project is in the final stage of construction, with the goal of basically completing the infrastructure by the end of 2025. Under the direction of the Prime Minister , ACV plans to conduct a technical flight on December 19, 2025, aiming to put Long Thanh airport into commercial operation in the first half of 2026.
