Many trains suspended on November 20 due to floods in the Central region

Due to heavy rain causing flooding in the area from Gia Lai to Khanh Hoa, the railway industry announced the cancellation of many trains on November 20.

Accordingly, temporarily stop running trains SE5 and SE7 departing from Hanoi station.

At Da Nang station, SE21 train departure is temporarily stopped.

At Saigon station, temporarily stop running trains SE4 and SE2 on the Da Nang - Hanoi route; temporarily stop running trains SE8, SE6, and SE22.

The railway industry announced the plan of other trains, the next day will update when there is weather and local updates.

Currently, the railway industry is actively implementing Official Dispatch No. 92/CD-BXD dated November 17, 2025 of the Ministry of Construction on proactively preventing, avoiding, and responding to floods in the Central region and urgently overcoming the landslide incident at Khanh Le Pass - National Highway 27C in Nam Vinh Khanh commune, Khanh Hoa province.

Vietnam Railway Authority requests Vietnam Railway Corporation and Railway Joint Stock Companies, Railway Signal Information Joint Stock Company to continue to focus on leadership, direction, and mobilization of all resources and means to resolutely and quickly overcome the consequences caused by floods, ensuring safety of works and railway traffic; Continue to strictly implement the patrol and guard regime of works, key locations, and key areas such as: Bridges, tunnels, weak roads, vulnerable to flooding, railway signal information works, ensuring smooth communication, serving train safety; areas prone to flash floods, steep mountain passes, falling rocks, landslides, railway areas downstream of dikes, irrigation dams, reservoirs...

Agencies and units shall direct units to adjust their train operation and running plans to reduce the number of trains passing through or stopping in areas affected by natural disasters; develop plans to preserve goods, transport spare materials, transfer passengers, and prepare adequate food, drinking water, medicine, and medical supplies in case trains have to stop due to floods.
