Temporarily suspending operations at Tuy Hoa airport

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just issued a notice on the temporary suspension of operations at Tuy Hoa Airport until 24:00 on November 20.

Accordingly, due to floods on a series of rivers from Gia Lai, Dak Lak to Khanh Hoa on November 19-20 simultaneously exceeding alert level 3, many places exceeding historical levels, causing roads to Tuy Hoa Airport to be isolated, Shelter station, LOC station 3 flooded, and the power system completely cut off.

Tuy Hoa Airport is urgently implementing measures to preserve and reinforce equipment at the port to ensure safety of flight operations, people and property, and minimize negative impacts on flight operations.

Airlines also announced adjustments to flight schedules to Tuy Hoa Airport during this time.

Vietnam Airlines has canceled flights between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Tuy Hoa on the same day (VN1650, VN1651, VN1660, VN1661).

On Vietjet side, two flights VJ206/VJ207 on the Ho Chi Minh City - Tuy Hoa - Ho Chi Minh City route on November 20 had to temporarily stop operating.

Airlines announced that passengers on affected flights will be supported according to the airline's service policy.

In the event of bad weather and floods in the Central region, passengers with schedules to and from airports in the region should proactively monitor flight information and specific schedules on the airlines' websites and mobile applications.
