Long An ensures traffic safety and order to serve the 2025 Vesak festival

The 2025 Vesak Festival is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of attendees each day at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy (HCMC), putting great pressure on traffic in the border area. Long An Province has implemented many synchronous solutions to ensure order and traffic safety for this important event.

On May 3, according to the Director of the Long An Department of Construction, Deputy Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee - Dang Hoang Tuan, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee has synchronously deployed many solutions to ensure traffic safety and order for the 2025 Vesak festival taking place at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy (Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) from May 6 to 8, 2025.

According to the announcement of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport, the event is expected to attract about 200,000 attendees each day, causing a large volume of traffic, potentially causing congestion on key routes leading to the ceremony area.

This location is quite close to Long An province, so the Traffic Safety Committee of Long An province directed functional forces to increase patrols and traffic control on bordering routes such as Tran Van Giau, Provincial Road 10, Provincial Road 825, Provincial Road 823B, as well as on the inland waterway route Xang An Ha canal - Xang Ly Van Manh canal.

At the same time, coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City to guide traffic flow, regulate traffic and promote safe travel routes, especially paying attention to limiting truck traffic during rush hours on Tran Van Giau Street.
