On April 26, in Seoul (Korea), the Investment Promotion Conference - Potential and Opportunities to Attract Investment in Long An Infrastructure took place. This is a highlight event in the series of investment promotion activities in Korea of the Long An Provincial Delegation.
The conference welcomed Mr. Vu Ho, Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea, Mr. Shing Choon Il, Korean Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, leaders of Long An and Dong Nai provinces and nearly 150 delegates from leading Korean organizations and enterprises, including technology corporations, investment, infrastructure construction, investment funds, etc.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the conference, Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut said that Korea is a country that has established a strong investment relationship with Long An province. Korean enterprises have made important contributions to promoting export growth, trade surplus and the overall socio -economic development of the locality.
“This conference is a special opportunity for Long An to introduce investment opportunities to Korean organizations, businesses and investors. Long An always appreciates and believes that the strengths and experience of Korean enterprises combined with the potential and advantages available to the province, along with a provincial government that is always dynamic, friendly and striving to create an open, safe and effective investment environment will be the values that contribute to creating a breakthrough success, ensuring the harmony of interests between the two sides,” emphasized the Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Committee.
The Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Committee pledged to always accompany businesses, fully apply investment incentive policies according to regulations, prepare necessary conditions to be ready to receive investment projects; reform administration and provide legal support so that Korean businesses can feel more real when investing in Long An as their second home.
At the Conference, Director of Long An Department of Planning and Investment Truong Van Liep introduced the potential, advantages, development orientation and planning of the province to the Korean business community.

According to Mr. Truong Van Liep, Long An has an important economic strategic position, the planning was systematically built by the leading planning consultancy unit of the United States, accordingly Long An will develop according to the model of 1 center - 2 corridors - 3 economic regions - 6 dynamic axes. Based on the identified goals and vision, the province prioritizes attracting investment in the fields of industry 4.0, electronic components manufacturing, software, semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence, smart ecological urban areas, logistics seaport services, border gate economy, high-tech agriculture, renewable energy. At the same time, it invites investors to research and develop the project of a high-quality labor training center in the semiconductor field.
At the conference, Korean experts presented their experiences and methods of building and developing green industrial park infrastructure projects, net zero, carbon reduction, innovation complexes, science and technology.
Within the framework of the conference, Long An province has exchanged many important letters of intent for cooperation with Korean organizations and enterprises such as: Letter of intent for cooperation between Long An province and JDC-Saigontel-Zennith on developing high-tech parks; Letter of intent for investment research in environmental projects to develop circular economy in Long An province.
In addition, Long An province's infrastructure enterprises and Korean enterprises have also exchanged many letters of intent for cooperation in various fields regarding the pilot implementation of green industrial park models, investment in environmental restoration facilities, investment in the development of Vietnam - Korea industrial sub-zones, etc.
