Transgender singer Lynk Lee

The female singer recalled that in middle school, she had a crush on a classmate who sat at her desk. Lynk Lee wrote a 2-page letter to confess her love. The result was that the response to her feelings was “Are you crazy?”. That sentence made Lynk Lee not only sad but also embarrassed.

The feeling of liking someone and knowing for sure that the feelings will not be reciprocated is when she feels the saddest.

“When I’m sad, I cry no matter what I do. I often wonder why my life is like this. I also wonder why not a single percent of people love me. At that time, just a sad song is enough to make me cry,” Lynk Lee confided.

But that was not the only thing that made Lynk Lee sad. During the time the transgender singer came out, she received many malicious comments and attacks. Reading many comments attacking her made Lynk Lee feel hurt. She felt that she had done nothing wrong, why did she have to endure such injustice.

At that moment, her close friend, rapper Den Vau, called. Hearing Den Vau's voice, Lynk Lee immediately burst into tears. However, the female singer admitted that she is not the type of person who often confides in others. Whenever she is sad, she cries to relieve her mood. She also finds pleasures such as playing games, singing karaoke... to quickly forget her sadness.

When asked about her ideal boyfriend, Lynk Lee affirmed that she needs someone simple, normal, not too famous or with any special talent. “Just someone gentle, a little taller than me and knows how to care for me is enough,” the 8X singer confided.

Also on the show, Lynk Lee revealed that her voice is more feminine than before. However, the trade-off is that her larynx is weaker, and she can't sing too high or too low.

After transgender, Lynk Lee's singing voice has weakened a lot.

“Before, if I wanted to speak in a feminine voice, I had to force my voice, but after the surgery, I don’t have to force it anymore. Whatever I want to say, I say it right away without having to practice in my head. I’m more feminine now, and I don’t need to sing as low as before,” Lynk Lee confided.

According to the singer, nothing is perfect. Therefore, in order to become more feminine, she accepted the trade-off of her vocal range.

The transgender singer affirmed that although her voice is weaker than before, it will not affect her music career because she can still sing. With her current voice, she is still confident in performing the familiar R&B music genre, and may even have softer, more feminine music products in the future.

Not only that, Lynk Lee revealed that currently, because her voice has not recovered, she does not dare to think about collaborating with any singer for fear of dragging down the music career of others. In the future, she may have a music product in collaboration with her colleagues when her voice is better.

Lynk Lee's birth name is To Manh Linh, born in 1988 in Bac Giang. Lynk Lee is known for many songs such as: "Goodbye", "Where I Belong", "If I Can Be Loved"...

In early 2020, Lynk Lee publicly announced that she had gone to Korea for gender reassignment surgery to become a woman. The singer born in 1988 also began to change her way of dressing, addressing herself, and her name, changing her name to To Ngoc Bao Linh.
