Mai Dieu Ly sings Phu Quang's music

The singer started the project 3 years ago. However, COVID-19 hit, causing the album production to stall. At the same time, the musician suffered a health incident and passed away.

The album includes 9 famous songs by Phu Quang, which were selected and edited by the author himself before he became seriously ill. Mai Dieu Ly said that she has loved Phu Quang's music since she was 17 years old and singing Phu Quang's music is like singing to the deepest longings of each person's soul. The songs in the album are sung by Mai Dieu Ly in a new style with arrangements by musician Thanh Vuong.

Present at the album launch, Ms. Anh Thu, the late musician’s wife, said she was very moved to hear Mai Dieu Ly sing her husband’s familiar songs. She appreciates the singer’s efforts to renew Phu Quang’s music and believes that it will help to extend the love of Phu Quang’s music to younger generations.

Mai Dieu Ly was born in 1991, known from the Sao Mai 2015 contest and used to be a painter. She released the album " Hanoi , my dream", with the band Phuong Dong won 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal, 1 excellent artist award at the National Band Festival 2019.
