Faced with the severe damage caused by storm No. 10 (Bualoi) and storm No. 11 (Matmo) in many northern provinces, Manulife Vietnam quickly launched a company-wide donation campaign, responding to the call to support people in disaster areas.
The program is implemented according to a matching contribution mechanism: for each donation from employees and consultants of distribution channels, Manulife contributes an equivalent amount, thereby doubling the shared value and increasing relief resources.
After only 3 days of launching, from October 14 to 16, the program raised a total of 1.5 billion VND. The entire amount was given by Manulife Vietnam to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to carry out relief activities, helping people recover from natural disasters.
Ms. Tina Nguyen, General Director of Manulife Vietnam, shared: "We believe that joining hands to provide timely support is extremely important in difficult times like these. Manulife hopes to contribute to alleviating the losses, and adding motivation for people in the northern provinces to soon overcome the difficult period and stabilize their lives."
In 2024, Manulife launched a matching donation program and donated 2.6 billion VND, accompanying the people of the North to overcome the consequences of typhoon Yagi .
Along with the donation activities, Manulife Vietnam also proactively reviewed and contacted customers in affected areas to ensure that insurance benefits were resolved quickly and given top priority, affirming its role as a financial support for customers in all circumstances.
