According to the Economic - Infrastructure Department of Luc Ngan district, currently, farmers in the district have basically finished harvesting the main crop of lychees, with only a few communes on the pass such as Ho Dap, Son Hai, Deo Gia... with not much output.

Due to the limited amount of lychee left, traders went to the garden to buy it at a record high price, ranging from 90,000 - 100,000 VND/kg; the average price of lychee for the whole season in Luc Ngan is estimated to reach 80,000 VND/kg.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, due to unfavorable weather, the province's lychee output reached about 100,000 tons, equal to 50% compared to last year. However, lychee prices increased sharply from the first days of the season, many times higher than in 2023. The average lychee price for the whole season reached more than 56,000 VND/kg, the highest ever.

Up to this point, the whole province has consumed more than 85,700 tons of lychee. Of which, early-ripening lychee reached more than 47,600 tons, the rest was main-season lychee. Luc Ngan is the locality with the largest total lychee output in the province with an output of about 53,000 tons.

The province's lychees are consumed well in both domestic and export markets. The province's lychee export output reached more than 24,700 tons, accounting for more than 28.9% of the total consumption output. The domestic consumption output reached more than 60,900 tons, accounting for more than 71%.

Also due to the increase in lychee prices, the export output to this year's markets has decreased sharply. As of June 24, the export output of lychee to the Chinese market reached more than 24,500 tons (equal to 25% compared to 2023).

The remaining lychee output is exported to other markets such as: EU 53 tons, Japan 45 tons, Australia 42 tons, USA 20 tons, Dubai 21 tons, Canada 16 tons and Southeast Asian countries 18 tons.
