Conflict in a gaming arcade leads to perpetrator using knife to seriously injure another person.

According to initial information, at approximately 9 PM on August 3, 2023, Phung Duc Tai, born in 1997, a local resident, went to play games at a game arcade in Thanh Huu hamlet, Tam Phuoc commune, and had a conflict with Nguyen Thanh Sang. Sang then called Nguyen Thanh Dat, asking him to bring a knife to the game arcade so he could attack Tai. When Dat arrived with the knife and saw Tai using a helmet to hit Sang, Dat immediately attacked Tai, inflicting injuries to his face. Both then fled.

Upon receiving the tip, using professional investigative methods, Sang and Dat were arrested by the Tam Phuoc commune police and related units along with the weapons hidden in Sang's rented room.

At 9:25 PM on August 1, 2023, Ms. HTR, born in 1969, residing in Trung Thanh Tay commune, Vung Liem district, Vinh Long province, called the Thanh Thoi A commune police station in Mo Cay Nam district, Ben Tre province, to report that her daughter, NTNY, born in 2006, was being teased by her friends and intended to commit suicide at Co Chien bridge. When she left, NTNY was riding a white Martin bicycle, wearing a black shirt and black sweatpants. After receiving the report, the Thanh Thoi A commune police station quickly assigned three officers along with Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Giao, the head of the commune police, to organize a search.

The search on the Co Chien bridge yielded no unusual traces. The Thanh Thoi A commune police deployed forces down the bridge's slope and discovered a bicycle and a black bag, believed to belong to the victim. Racing against time, the search team checked the banks of the Co Chien river and found a hand rising from the water near the first span of the bridge. Immediately, Mr. Giao and two other commune police officers jumped into the river and rescued NTNY, bringing her ashore and taking her to the Thanh Thoi A commune People's Committee.

The commune's health station staff checked her health; the commune's Women's Association comforted, encouraged, and provided clothes, food, and water for NY. Afterwards, the commune police notified her family to come and take NY home. Currently, NY's health and spirits are stable.
