Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station Metro operates 3 shifts during the holiday

The Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board said that the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station Metro project will ensure construction in 3 continuous shifts, without holidays, to complete the project's goal of reaching the finish line by the end of 2027.

On April 29, speaking to reporters of Tin Tuc newspaper, Mr. Le Trung Hieu, Deputy Head of Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB), said that to make up for the time lost due to site clearance problems, the investor coordinated with the contractor of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway line to mobilize 100% of human resources and construction machinery throughout the holiday with 3 continuous shifts. There are still 20 engineers and 226 workers on the construction site. The contractor has also mobilized all human resources according to plan; in addition, many of the world's leading experts have been mobilized.

According to the Deputy Head of MRB, after the Hanoi People's Committee gave strong direction, the site clearance work was completed. The outdoor construction was significantly affected by the weather, however, MRB had prepared a full response plan, including the situation of prolonged heavy rain. The teams of workers voluntarily put aside the joy of family reunion, focused their efforts, stayed at the construction site, and worked throughout the holiday. At the same time, the continuous construction was also to prepare for future cases where work had to be temporarily suspended due to force majeure such as epidemics, storms, etc. The units always accompanied the contractor, mobilizing supervising engineers to control the quality and accept each construction step to ensure that all work was not interrupted. During the construction process, the contractor will comply with the requirements on safety and quality during the work process and especially for traffic monitoring and management in construction areas. Regarding the difficulties caused by the weather, Mr. Hong Tak Ki - Head of the construction department of the Hyundai contractor said: "At the S11 underground station construction site, the main structural items, which are very important for the station, are being constructed. Hanoi is entering the rainy season, like on the morning of April 29, there was a very heavy rain, we arranged many high-capacity pumps to promptly remove water from the construction site and carry out construction as usual. With careful calculations, we can completely ensure the construction work." Speaking further with Tin Tuc reporters, Mr. Park Young Ill, Project Executive Director, commented: “The contractor has mobilized all subcontractors to work at the stations to make efforts to keep up with the project's progress. The project has encountered many difficulties when having to construct in a densely populated area. We have received a lot of support from the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board to facilitate the construction. To prepare for the holiday, the contractor has arranged and calculated the number of workers at all construction sites of the project and constructed as usual."
