According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, tomorrow, August 18, the North will be affected by the western circulation of the tropical depression, causing heavy rain along the eastern coast. Rainfall on August 18 and 19 in the Northeast is about 40 - 120 mm, locally over 250 mm.
From August 20 to 23, the rainy area will expand to the mountainous and midland areas in the North due to the influence of the weakening circulation from the tropical depression.
It is forecasted that from the evening of August 17 to August 18, Thanh Hoa - Quang Tri provinces will continue to have widespread rain of 50 - 120 mm, locally over 250 mm, due to the influence of the tropical convergence zone connecting with the tropical depression.
From August 19, the rain in the Central region will decrease and the weather will be sunny again when the tropical convergence zone lifts its axis to the North and the tropical depression weakens.
From now until August 20, the rain in the Central Highlands and the South will gradually decrease, with only scattered showers and thunderstorms, and sunny days. The highest temperature in the Central Highlands is 29 - 32 degrees Celsius, in the South is 33 - 35 degrees Celsius.
