Dismissal of Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue from the position of National Assembly Chairman

On the afternoon of May 2, the 7th extraordinary session of the 15th National Assembly took place at the National Assembly House, Hanoi Capital to carry out important contents.

At the Session, the National Assembly considered the following contents:

- Consider the dismissal of the position of Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the 2021-2026 term, approve the dismissal of the position of Member of the National Defense and Security Council, and remove from duty the 15th National Assembly deputy of Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong city;

- Consider the dismissal of Mr. Duong Van Thai, member of the National Assembly Delegation of Bac Giang province, from the 15th term.

After listening to the presentations and comments of Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue, the National Assembly discussed, voted by secret ballot and approved:

- Resolution on dismissal of the position of Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the 2021-2026 term, approval of dismissal of the position of Member of the National Defense and Security Council, and termination of the duties of National Assembly deputy of the 15th term for Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue;

- Resolution to dismiss Mr. Duong Van Thai from the 15th National Assembly.
