TTH.VN - On the afternoon of April 24, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh received a delegation from the Ministry ofEducation and Research, Federal Republic of Germany led by Ms. Kathrin Meyer, Director of the Department of Asia and Oceania - Ministry of Education and Research, Federal Republic of Germany.
In recent times, Thua Thien Hue has received programs and projects with aid capital from the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through German and foreign non-governmental organizations with a total committed capital of 8 million USD, mainly focusing on areas such as mine clearance and community development, heritage conservation, environmental protection, climate change response, support for vulnerable groups in society, and capacity building in education and training.
Ms. Kathrin Meyer expressed that, with the cultural heritage values of the ancient capital of Hue, the hospitality and friendliness, she hoped that the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries would be increasingly tightened, and expanded to promote cooperation in many fields; at the same time, she hoped that in the coming time, the two governments of the Federal Republic of Germany and Vietnam in general and Thua Thien Hue province in particular would expand to promote cooperation in many fields, support research and training with cooperation agencies and universities.
Speaking at the reception, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh wished to strengthen cooperation with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to support member universities of Hue University in training and developing human resources. Promote exchange activities, exchange of lecturers and students; exchange of scientific research results through the coordination of organizing seminars, workshops, conferences between teaching faculties and universities; support training of postgraduate students for young lecturers and graduate students.
In addition, introduce and support linkages with German vocational training organizations and associations to implement a number of tourism human resource training projects.
