Expanding sugarcane raw material area

(Quang Ngai Newspaper) - In mid-2025, Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company will continue to expand raw material areas and increase capacity to meet domestic sugar consumption demand.

Currently, the company is operating two large sugar factories, including An Khe Sugar Factory with a sugarcane pressing capacity of 18,000 tons/day and is expected to increase to 25,000 tons/day in the early 2025-2026 crop year. The total sugarcane material area of ​​Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company is about 30,000 hectares and the company aims to increase to 40,000 hectares in the 2027-2028 crop year.

At the same time, Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company also implemented programs to support farmers such as mechanization, digital transformation in agricultural activities and research and development of new high-yield varieties, to ensure the quality of raw materials and develop sustainable sugarcane growing areas.
