Regarding the incident of singer Dam Vinh Hung wearing a strange badge while performing in the live show "Ngay em den sao troi" which has caused a stir in public opinion in recent days, at a meeting to provide information on socio -economic issues in the area organized by the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee in coordination with the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of May 9, Mr. Lam Ngo Hoang Anh, Chief of Office of the Department of Culture and Sports of the City, said that the Department has invited organizations, individuals, and units to work on the content of the reflection and collect related artifacts.
According to Mr. Lam Ngo Hoang Anh, at the meeting, the representative of Tieng Hat Viet Limited Company, the organizer of the live show, reported specifically on the preparation process and organization work.
Singer Dam Vinh Hung and the designer reported on the process of designing the costumes for the show. According to the report, the costumes and accessories were only for decoration, creating an artistic effect, and had no other purpose.
Tieng Hat Viet Company Limited, singer Dam Vinh Hung, and designer accepted the opinions of relevant agencies in the meeting and said they will learn from experience in the next show.
Regarding the above incident, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City has a record of the opinions of representatives of relevant agencies attending the meeting, as well as the responses of Tieng Hat Viet Company Limited, singer Dam Vinh Hung and the designer.
In addition, the Department has reminded and requested event organizers and individuals participating in art performances to further enhance their sense of responsibility, awareness, and pay attention to the issue of costumes and presentation to avoid causing offense and having a negative impact on public opinion.
In order to have a basis for proposing appropriate solutions, the Department will invite a number of experts in related fields to give their opinions. After having a conclusion, the Department will proceed with the next steps.
Previously, on the evening of May 8, Dam Vinh Hung apologized to the audience. The male singer said that as an artist, affecting his own image in building relationships with his beloved audience, he felt he was not very profound because he thought quite simply that he just wanted to create a new style of performance costumes.
Singer Dam Vinh Hung also confirmed that he had no bad intentions as the baseless composite images on social networks.
He always hopes that the audience will sympathize and accept his apology and receive constructive contributions from the audience so that he can improve every day.
At the same time, he will not use this outfit in the show "The Day You Light the Stars" taking place in Hanoi on May 18.
Previously, on some forums, many audiences debated the badges that Dam Vinh Hung wore on his performance costume in the program Dam Vinh Hung Live Concert 2024 with the theme "The Day I Lighted the Stars, " which took place on the evening of May 4 in Ho Chi Minh City.
