An important turning point in the development of journalism in Tay Ninh

On the afternoon of June 19, the Standing Committee of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision to merge Tay Ninh Newspaper with Tay Ninh Radio and Television Station into Tay Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television Station.

Mr. Vo Van Quy, Deputy Director of Tay Ninh Radio and Television Station, was appointed Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of Tay Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television Station from June 20, 2025 until a decision is made on the appointment of Editor-in-Chief of Tay Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television Station. In addition, the unit has 3 Deputy Editors-in-Chief.

Tay Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television Station is a public service unit under the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, with 4 types of press, including: Printed Newspaper, Electronic Newspaper, Spoken Newspaper and Visual Newspaper; performing the function of informing and propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's and local laws and policies; orienting public opinion, participating in social supervision and criticism, being a bridge between the Party, the State and the people, serving as a forum to exercise the people's right to freedom of speech according to the Press Law and current regulations, contributing to improving people's knowledge and serving the people's spiritual life.

At the conference, Head of the Organizing Committee of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee Vo Duc Trong acknowledged and highly appreciated the important contributions of Tay Ninh Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station in recent times; at the same time, congratulated the officials who were trusted and appointed to participate in the leadership of Tay Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television Station after the merger.

Mr. Vo Duc Trong emphasized that the merger of the two agencies is a necessary step, in line with the policy of streamlining the organization, operating effectively and efficiently, meeting the requirements in the new context.

Mr. Vo Duc Trong hopes that in the coming time, Tay Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television Station will continue to merge with Long An Newspaper and Radio and Television Station, so the staff, workers, and leaders of the unit need to soon stabilize the organization and continue to operate, not to affect the political tasks of the unit, and at the same time proactively prepare work contents for the merger.

Mr. Vo Duc Trong believes that, with the spirit of solidarity, unity and responsibility, Tay Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television Station will overcome initial difficulties, soon stabilize the organization and perform well the assigned political tasks.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Quy, Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of Tay Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television Station, affirmed that the merger is an inevitable trend, meeting practical requirements and policies of the Central Government and the province.

This is also an important turning point in the development journey of the unit. In the coming time, the unit will gradually improve its organizational structure, build an effective operating mechanism, and promote its role as the province's key press agency, the voice of the Party Committee, government and people of Tay Ninh.

On this occasion, the leaders of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee presented the Decision on early retirement according to Decree 178/2024/ND-CP, dated December 31, 2024 of the Government to Ms. Tran Thi My Linh, Editor-in-Chief of Tay Ninh Newspaper and Mr. Vu Xuan Truong, Director of Tay Ninh Radio and Television Station./.
