On the morning of June 19, at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), the 2025 National Press Festival officially opened, kicking off a series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day. The event was organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Education Commission and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
With the theme “Vietnamese Press - Loyal, Creative, Courageous, Innovative for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland”, this year’s Press Festival attracted the participation of 124 central and local press agencies and major journalism training institutions across the country, with nearly 130 booths. Not only fully demonstrating the appearance of modern journalism, this year’s booths also made their mark with strong investment in technology and digital media.
The clear and attractive highlight is the strong presence of artificial intelligence (AI) applications, 3D technology, virtual reality, data modeling and multi-platform press products. Many units such as Nhan Dan Newspaper, VTV, Vietnam News Agency, VOV, Military - Public Security press groups, etc. have brought products demonstrating modern technology, allowing readers to experience journalism not only with their eyes but also with seamless virtual - real interactions.
These include AI-automated news bulletins, artificial intelligence content management systems, news chatbots, online newspapers integrating big data, virtual reality simulated news spaces, etc.
In parallel with the exhibition, the 2nd National Press Forum also officially took place on June 19 and 20, including 12 thematic discussion sessions.
The 2025 National Press Festival is a space to honor the achievements of a century of journalism, an opportunity for press agencies to share experiences, spread the spirit of innovation, connect with the public and inspire future generations of journalists. This is also a step to strongly affirm the role of the press in the digital transformation of the nation, when the press not only reports news but also accompanies the development of the country./.
