According to Mirror , the "Red Devils" expressed anger at Brentford because they believed the London team intentionally hindered the deal and sought to sell Mbeumo to other rivals in the Premier League.
United made three offers before settling on a final price of £65m up front with £6m in add-ons. Brentford are said to be demanding a higher fee of £70m plus £7m in add-ons, and have tried to push Mbeumo to Newcastle, Tottenham, or Chelsea.
Arsenal are also interested, but the Cameroon international himself only wants to join Manchester United and has made it clear that he will not consider any other options.

MU accused Brentford of making things difficult. |
Brentford even pressured Mbeumo to take a pay cut to increase the profit from the transfer fee. However, Man Utd showed respect and determination by accepting to pay a salary of 200,000 pounds per week, in line with the expectations of the 25-year-old player.
Sources close to the matter said Brentford believed Manchester United were offering Bryan Mbeumo a high wage in order to eliminate competitors. Therefore, Brentford actively negotiated a lower starting price than the actual price.
Mbeumo will travel to the United States with United on their pre-season tour and is expected to make his debut against West Ham at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 27. He has signed a contract until June 2030, with the option of a further year.
On the day of his debut, Mbeumo shared emotionally: “As soon as I knew I had the opportunity to wear the Manchester United shirt, I couldn’t refuse. This is the team I dreamed of since I was a child. I believe I have enough spirit and courage to reach new heights.”
With 20 goals and 8 assists last season, Mbeumo will be an important card in Manchester United's rebuilding ambitions in the 2025/26 season.
