(Baohatinh.vn) - The "Red Phoenix Flower" campaign has given students in Ha Tinh a meaningful summer, helping them mature through experience, nurturing love for their homeland and a spirit of sharing.

The "Red Phoenix Flower" volunteer campaign for 2025, launched by the Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union in coordination with the Department of Education and Training in early June, quickly spread throughout the province, attracting positive responses from junior and senior high schools. More than 25,000 students and young teachers across the province actively participated in the campaign.

This summer, the "Red Phoenix Flower" campaign at Nguyen Du High School (Tien Dien commune) was vibrant, attracting over 1,200 students with a total of more than 2,000 participants. Under the guidance of the school's Youth Union Executive Committee, the students had a summer full of experiences through many meaningful activities such as: "Supporting the Exam Season," cleaning the martyrs' cemetery and the marine environment, organizing summer activities for children in the villages, etc.

Tran Nguyen Ngoc Anh, a student in class 12A12 (Nguyen Du High School), shared: “Participating in the campaign not only contributes my small part to the common good of society but also helps me mature a great deal. The collective labor sessions and interactions with citizens while assisting with administrative procedures are all valuable practical lessons, helping me understand more about the responsibilities of a young person.”

Joining in the vibrant atmosphere of the "Red Phoenix Flower" campaign in 2025, the Youth Union of Ha Tinh Specialized High School implemented many practical activities, spreading the pioneering and creative spirit of young people.

A highlight is the 10th "Books That Are Not Outdated" program, scheduled to take place on August 19th at Hoang Xuan Han Secondary School, with the goal of collecting and donating approximately 3,000 textbooks and reference books; awarding scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds; and facilitating interaction between secondary school students and speakers who are high-achieving students and alumni of Ha Tinh Specialized High School.

Tran Thuy Hang, Head of the BoNe Club (Ha Tinh Specialized High School), said: “‘Books Are Not Old’ is an annual event aimed at calling on the community to donate used books that are still usable to give to students in difficult circumstances. The program has contributed to spreading knowledge, inspiring learning, and nurturing a passion for reading in many generations of students. Moreover, it is also an opportunity to connect with friends who share the same interests and spread positivity to the community. This year, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the ‘Books Are Not Old’ journey, the club has received a very large amount of donated books and will proceed to sort and package them to deliver directly to the students.”

In addition, the Student Union of Ha Tinh Specialized High School also carries out activities such as landscape maintenance and candle-lighting ceremonies. In August, major events such as Club Day and the "Cheer K35" welcome program for new students will also be organized, promising to bring a vibrant and cohesive atmosphere throughout the school.

This year, the "Red Phoenix Flower" campaign continues to be effective as students and young people take on a core role in supporting the local government at both levels.

The entire province currently maintains 69 volunteer teams with more than 3,956 youth union members and young people participating in rotation. Following the motto "One team - Many tasks," volunteers are divided into specialized groups and assigned directly to commune-level public administrative service centers to guide and assist people in carrying out administrative procedures.

Simultaneously, community service activities continued to be implemented comprehensively and widely. Throughout the province, over 8,500 students participated in cleaning more than 250 km of village roads, alleys, and beaches, and in tending to and offering incense at martyrs' cemeteries. Prior to this, nearly 6,500 volunteers provided support to candidates at high school graduation exam sites, assisting with drinking water, transportation, and providing necessary information.

The student union of Nguyen Trung Thien High School (Thach Khe commune) responded to the "Red Phoenix Flower" campaign with a pilgrimage to historical sites.

This year's "Red Phoenix Flower" campaign continues to affirm its effectiveness as a training ground for students and young teachers, helping them develop life skills, a sense of responsibility, and a spirit of sharing. The activities are not limited to volunteer work but also help form good habits and foster a proactive and creative spirit in students as they return to school. Entering the new school year, the Provincial Youth Union will continue to cooperate with the education sector to expand the model of volunteer clubs in schools, encouraging students to participate in community service activities right from their own schools.
