After the emotional turmoil of the previous days of competition, the swimmer born in 2005 showed remarkable composure, proving herself to be a top female swimmer in Vietnam in the post-Anh Vien era.
In the women's 800m freestyle final, My Tien entered the race with the intention of giving her maximum effort. However, the Singaporean representative proved superior in both speed and physical fitness, quickly creating a safe distance and crossing the finish line first. My Tien tenaciously chased after her, maintaining a stable swimming pace to finish second, bringing home a valuable silver medal for the Vietnamese swimming team.
The day before, My Tien and her teammates Nguyen Kha Nhi, Pham Thi Van, and Nguyen Thuy Hien made history by winning the bronze medal in the women's 4x200m freestyle relay with a time of 8 minutes 14 seconds 22. This was the first time Vietnamese women's swimming had won a medal in this event at the SEA Games, an achievement of special significance during the team's rebuilding phase.

On December 13th, after winning the silver medal in the women's 400m individual medley, My Tien burst into tears on the medal podium following a brief exchange with leaders of the Vietnam Aquatic Sports Association. The pressures, expectations, and even controversies outside of her professional career presented a significant psychological challenge for the young athlete.
However, above all, My Tien still appeared on the swimming track with her familiar smile, professionalism, and admirable competitive spirit. From the silver medal in the women's 400m individual medley, the bronze medal in the women's 4x200m freestyle relay, to the silver medal in the women's 800m freestyle, My Tien showed commendable effort at the SEA Games 33.
